MILK RECEPTION UNIT
Milk reception unit means the whole tanks and units which provide necessary filtering and weighing of the milk that comes from dairies to processing plants with milk carrier tankers. They work as dijital counters.
This process is done because of collected milk can not come to the collecting centre in the same temperature from different farms and producers. Milk is collected from different dairies and farms with different temperatures and ingredients. Firstly this milk is controlled in milk collecting centers, it is cooled in cooling tanks with 4 degrees after determined if any corruption is there or not. If any corruption is there, controllers should undersand it, and prevent adding this milk into discorrupted milk. The milk which is necessarily controlled and ready in cooling tank in 4 degrees, is delivered to processing plants with insulated carrier tankers. Milk should be delivered to this places approximately in 6 hours, because these tankers also have a certain time for insulation. And lastly, milk is transferred from tankers to receiving units with the help of a milk pump.
One of the frequently asked questions about milk receiving unit is milk receiving unit prices. Milk receiving unit prices are changeable acoording to plant’s capacity and milk receiving unit’s technical spesifications. That’s why; it is not possible to prepare a certain quotation unless the manufacturer learns customer’s needs and capacity informations.
Milk receiving unit has two different kinds, they are automatic ones and manuel ones;
So what are these kinds? Let’s examine together:
What is Automatic Milk Reception Unit ?
Automatic milk reception units, firstly take the milk from carrier tankers with the help of a pump, then makes filtering and get the surplus air and foam out from milk with a stainless steel buoy. This system helps flowmeter to do its mission more effective and the milk amount, coming into the plant is weighed in the best way without any lost. The milk is ready to be processed any more after filtering and weighing. It can be pulled into processing line in which the milk will be used.
Automatic milk reception units make filtering with double filter by turn. Namely; when we shut down the first filter and clean it, we can go on filtering with second filter. We should know that; this filtering is not able to seperate crema or to weig ph values etc. It can just drain the unknown material in the milk. After filtering; milk which flows into the unit is purified from the surplus air and foam inside it by acting up and down with the help of a stainless steel buoy. This automatic system stops working if the milk level in the unit falls under or rises over a determined level, the air and foam that is seperated from milk are sent out from a hole on the upside of the unit and milk gets ready to be weighed effectively.
Filtered and deaerationed milk goes to digital flowmeter and after weighing, the milk is sent to storage tank or process machine according to determined using.
What Is Manual Milk Reception Unit?
Manual milk reception unit as understood from its name is a system which filtering and weighing operations are done manually. In this units you can use fill-empty system. Namely; you fill the milk, unit filters and weighs it, and empty it in a tank. Milk is pumped with the same kind of pumps from carrier tankers as in automatic units but it is filtered, weighed and sent to process units in a different way.
So, what are the spesifications which are different from automatic milk reception unit?
These manual milk reception units are cheaper than the automatic milk reception units. Manual milk reception units are also different in shape from automatic ones. They are like a hemisphere. They do the filtering operation with the help of a filter which has thin and small holes and which covers this hemisphere’s top floor. Weighing of the filtered milk is done with loadcells that are mounted on four legs of the receiving unit at the same time. The weighing may not be as accurate as the automatic milk receiving units using digital flow meters, as they are not subjected to milk air and foam removal. After all; filtered and weighed milk is transferred to storage tank or process machine according to determined process.
